Happy New Year (nearly)

Last year wasn’t great for me (how’s  that for understatement?) so I was looking forward to a new start in 2013. However, January didn’t go according to plan and I began to feel low again, so I’ve decided to ignore that particular new start and have another go to tomorrow. With that in mind, I’m planning a decent meal and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the Chinese New Year (year of the snake).
I heard from the estate agent this morning that my buyers have their mortgage so all tht needs to happen now is to make sure that the woman whose house I’m buying is ready to move out. Of course I don’t have many windows free in my diary which complicates matters (Louis is here from 20th Feb, then it’s Weetwood 8–10 March) . I don’t think it il happen before he gets here, but then you never know.
Ideally I’d like to be moving in week commencing 11th March. I haven’t started packing anything away yet as I want to be SURE first. One thing for sure, once I do have a removal date I’m going to be very very busy. I just pray the weather’s kind as I have all kinds of stuff to sort out in the garden. Two sheds full of I don’t know what for starters.
I’d planned to get some more ‘proper’ work done today but John ‘popped’ round to deliver part of the paper (he gives me the crosswords) then stayed for three hours.
Once I’ve moved that will NOT be happening – he’ll have to plan ahead, but at the moment I have to admit it’s nice to have somebody to talk to, providing he does, eventually, go home! .
